Challenge

Frankstahl, as a leading company in the digitalization of the steel trade, is driving the next step in digital transformation with the spin-off thesteel.com.

The goal was to implement a first Proof of Concept (PoC) in the AWS Cloud within a very short time in order to test critical parts of the platform and prepare for further implementation.

Solution

Together with thesteel.com and Frankstahl, the entire cloud architecture in AWS was mapped within one month and in just two intensive workshop days.

The PoC implementation of a critical part of the platform was carried out based on productive collaboration between all parties involved.

In doing so, the core requirements for future implementation were defined and documented, ensuring the architecture is scalable and prepared for the upcoming steps.

The technical setup was carried out using modern AWS services, best practices, and a clear structure that enables future extensions.

Impact

A functioning PoC was implemented within one month, serving as the basis for further platform implementation.

The workshops and close collaboration with the client team led to a clear roadmap for the next development steps.
